About JAE

 Welcome to Jeanne Armonk Enterprises

Jeanne Armonk Enterprises (JAE) began in March 2009 as a blog in which Jeanne Armonk wrote numerous blog posts on a variety of topics such as writing a novel, animal welfare, and entrepreneurship.

Valerie Jeanne Hynson a/k/a Jeanne Armonk began freelance writing/reporting for The Wilkes Gazette newspaper in May 2009.  Valerie Jeanne was hired as a freelancer to report on news stories and local events in Wilkes County, NC.

In 2010, Jeanne was promoted to writing/editing her own page entitled Jeanne's Corner.  The page featured three weekly columns: Jeanne's Travels, Living on a Budget, Restaurant Reviews.

In 2011, Jeanne's Corner was separated into individual web pages as the newspaper became strictly an online digital newspaper in that year.

Also, in 2011, Jeanne applied to write for both Examiner.com and Hubpages.com.  She was granted acceptance at both websites.  A link to her Examiner.com articles can be found on the Examiner.com tab. She does not have any topics published on Hubpages.com to date.

In 2012, the original founder and publisher of The Wilkes Gazette no longer was able to continue to publish the paper. It was transferred to Jeanne Armonk a/k/a Valerie J. Hynson in September 2012.  Jeanne has been restructuring the website and unveiled a new version in time for its 4th year anniversary issue in May 2013.

In January 2014, The Wilkes Gazette was renamed the Wilkes County Gazette.

In addition to digital media publishing, freelance writing, and freelance photography, Valerie Jeanne Hynson A/K/A Jeanne Armonk tweets at www.twitter.com/jeannearmonk09.

My interest with writing began by composing poems about nature in my childhood. I also co-wrote a play in my 4th grade class when I lived in New Rochelle, NY. It generated enough positive feedback that my class put on the play in the school auditorium. I was fortunate to have a lead part. After my high school graduation, I entered the working world. For over 30 years I have been steadily gaining writing, editing and digital publishing skills. I began by composing letters and emails to company clients. I contributed to articles written for The Commuters Register based in Windsor, CT. Since 2009, I have added social media, digital publishing and blogging here in Wilkesboro, NC. Since 2010, I write ad copy for the listing descriptions for each of my 3 Internet shops open at Etsy.com. In 2012, I entered a poem about my dog Red in the World Poetry Contest. The poem was chosen for publication. I have written articles for the Winston-Salem Frugal Living Examiner and Hub Pages. In 2012, I acquired The Wilkes Gazette digital newspaper that was renamed the Wilkes County Gazette in 2014. I write under both my own name and my pen name, Jeanne Armonk.
